Project Description

Overlooking the Wales Millennium Centre in a prominent Cardiff Bay position, the Premier Inn development formed part of the wider Cardiff Waterside regeneration and demonstrates T & T Roofing Limited’s ability to deliver projects nationwide beyond its core regional footprint. T & T Roofing Limited delivered the flat roofing works for RGB Group LTD over 28 weeks, completing in April 2019, with a contract value of £225,000 covering approximately 1,370 m².

The specified manufacturer was Widopan, with the waterproofing solution comprising Widopan PMMA liquid-applied membranes to roof areas. PMMA was suited to the project’s detailing requirements, providing a seamless and fully bonded system capable of delivering long-term performance on a high-use hospitality building. The works formed part of a larger new-build hotel scheme in a live, high-visibility location, requiring disciplined sequencing and coordination to align with envelope interfaces and programme milestones.

Given the nature of the building use and the prominence of the setting, the focus was on delivering a robust, reliable roof solution capable of performing without intervention. The project illustrates T & T Roofing Limited’s ability to mobilise and deliver specialist liquid waterproofing systems outside its immediate geographic base, while maintaining workmanship standards and programme control. Completed in Cardiff as part of a significant development, the scheme reinforces competence in PMMA liquid waterproofing applications for large, commercial hospitality environments where watertightness and durability are critical.
