Project Description

Along Commercial Way in Peckham, the Ledbury Estate redevelopment is a major regeneration programme replacing legacy tower blocks with new homes and community infrastructure across multiple phases and varied building heights. T & T Roofing Limited delivered the roofing and podium waterproofing package for Higgins Partnerships over 52 weeks, with a contract value of £1,050,000 covering approximately 2,500 m², and the works remain ongoing.

The specified manufacturer for the main roof package was Bauder, with the roofing scope incorporating SBS bituminous felt systems to primary roof areas and liquid-applied waterproofing to balconies and complex details to accommodate interface conditions and high-density layouts. A significant additional element was the application of Widopan PMMA liquid waterproofing across the entire existing podium area, providing a seamless solution suited to refurbishment conditions and future covering.

Following completion of the podium waterproofing, hard landscaping was installed by others above our works, meaning robust preparation, detailing discipline and confidence in the integrity of the system before covering were essential. With buildings ranging up to high-rise scale, sequencing, access planning and protection of completed works were tightly managed to maintain programme continuity.

Ledbury Estate demonstrates T & T Roofing Limited’s capability to deliver multi-system solutions—new-build SBS, liquid detailing, and large-area PMMA refurbishment waterproofing—while maintaining performance assurance where roof and podium areas are permanently overlaid and long-term durability is critical.
