Project Description

Forming part of Peterborough’s Fletton Quays riverside regeneration, the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel & Apartments occupies a prominent mixed-use location supporting hospitality, residential and commercial growth. T & T Roofing Limited delivered the flat roofing works for RGB Group LTD over a 16-week programme, completing in November 2019, with a contract value of £100,500 across approximately 570 m².

The specified manufacturer was Sika, with the roofing scope comprising a Sika single ply membrane system installed with a tapered insulation scheme to achieve falls and thermal requirements. The system provided a lightweight, durable waterproofing solution appropriate for a modern hospitality building where performance, maintainability and programme delivery are central to the client’s needs. The works required careful sequencing and coordination with adjacent trades and building envelope interfaces, ensuring penetrations, upstands and terminations were detailed correctly and delivered to specification.

Delivered within a live regeneration environment, logistics and access planning were managed to maintain progress and protect completed roof areas prior to follow-on works. The completed roof contributes directly to the weather-tightness and long-term durability of a high-use building, supporting the operational requirements of hotel and apartment accommodation in a prominent city-centre setting.

The project demonstrates T & T Roofing Limited’s capability to deliver Sika single ply systems with tapered insulation efficiently and safely on nationwide regeneration schemes, maintaining technical compliance and high-quality finish under short programme conditions.
