Project Description

T & T Roofing Limited completed specialist waterproofing works to penthouse roof areas at Gainsborough Studios, a well-known residential development in the heart of Islington.

The project involved the preparation and overlay of existing single-ply roof surfaces using the Carlisle Construction Materials Arboflex PU liquid waterproofing system, selected to provide a seamless and fully bonded finish while avoiding the disruption of full roof replacement works.

Works included detailed inspection of the existing substrate, localised remedial repairs where required, reinforced liquid detailing to upstands, perimeters and penetrations, followed by full application of the specified waterproofing system.

All works were delivered within a live, occupied building, requiring careful planning, close communication with residents and strict control of daily operations. Temporary edge protection was installed in coordination with a specialist scaffolding contractor to ensure safe access and full compliance with current health and safety requirements.

Over a number of years, we have completed multiple phases of roofing and waterproofing works across the wider Gainsborough Studios development for both main contractors and private clients, including penthouses, extensions, repairs and maintenance packages. This repeat involvement reflects our ability to deliver reliable solutions within high-end occupied residential environments.
